i have a pedal powered Kettler go-kart that needs to go faster and drift (ive modified the Tyres to do 180’s!)?

i’ve had a pedal powered Kettler go kart for ages and have decided to turn it into a gravity racer, me and my Friends push each other down the hill and let go. i’ve already made a few things better: i’ve put black electrical tape on the rear tyres so it skids and i’ve made a front wing and rear bumper, i’ve also made a few more minor adjustments. in the result it does 180’s. i need it to go faster and drift round corners and don’t want to put things on that are too confusing and expensive, i want a simple go kart. i basically want the go kart AKA gravity racer to be really fun. what should i do?

Move the seat forward and or have the driver lean forward while driving. Additionally you could add lead weight to the front right behind the front axles (do not put the weight in front of the front axles) Make sure the weight is firmly attached using grade 5 or better bolts, nuts and washers.

Moving weight forward will make it drift better. Borrow 4 bathroom scales and put them under the 4 tires with driver aboard before starting and after to see where you are. You will be able to see how much leaning forward will help also.
