Does anyone have tips on how to keep a kiddie pool clean?
I’d like to leave my daughter’s pool filled with water, but when we come back the next day, it’s got all kind of dirt, leaves, and other debris. It’s just a small kiddie pool, but I’d like to conserve water and not use new water each and every day. Should I cover it with something. Would that attract all kinds of critters?
Dirt and debris makes me think you may have neighborhood raccoons washing their dinner, especially if it’s fairly clean at supper time and fairly dirty the next morning. Covering may help, but they’re pretty clever creatures and can probably defeat most easy measures. Not encouraging them to hang around is a good idea. There are some fairly nasty parasites that are possible… Baylisascaris being the main concern.
I’d probably play it safe and dump the pool in the evening. Recycle the water onto the flower and vegetable gardens, and the lawn.
